The petals of the fiddleneck are a orange-yellow color.  the leaves and stem have white hairs.  The scroll looks like a violin scroll.  the flower (fiddleneck) has a native range from west north america (the contenent) south west south america (the contenent), mostly in disturbed grasslands but the flower is uncommon within the native range and can not be found any were that is not within the native range.  the plant called fiddleneck is not edible.  the seeds contain alkoids and high concentrations of nirates.  the plant is not used as medicine in any way.  the plant enriches the soil alot when it rots.  a interesting fact is that the flower is high in vitamin c even though it is poison to eat.  also the flower looks like a violin scroll and violins are known for playing fiddle tunes and that is a fact that tells you were the name fiddleneck came from.  the plant can rot very easily.  the plant was introduced to the united kingdom in 1910.  fiddlenecks are in the family boraginaceae, along with borage and forget-me-nots.  the  fiddlenecks kingdom is the plantee kingdom.  fiddleneck causes cirrhosis to the liver of horses aswell as the other plants of the amsinckia species.
